The Modeling Users Group provides a forum for power system model data submitters, model developers, and model reviewers to share common challenges, opportunities, and solutions regarding a variety of power system modeling related topics. The primary purpose is to ensure the accuracy and quality of power system models used by MISO. The scope of the group will include modeling of the physical network common to all power system models and data associated with Operational Network models, Commercial model asset registration, and Planning steady-state, dynamic stability, and geomagnetic induced current (GIC) models. The group will be primary stakeholder forum for involvement in the MSE Power System Model Data Manager project which will invest in transformative modeling processes that leverage industry and technology advancements while addressing customer requests for shorter update cycles, more transparency, and reduced errors.
Some meetings will be used to discuss confidential or Critical Energy Infrastructure Information (CEII) materials. Participants must: (1) be listed as an Employee, Agent or Consultant on an Authorized Agency’s fully executed Universal Non-Disclosure Agreement (UNDA); and (2) execute the individual CEII NDA. This group reports to the Planning Subcommittee (PSC).
